While the final product that the students assemble is important, the actual learning process is just as imperative. Learning is guided by steps so it is essential to ensure students understand the information they are researching. Students will be observed by the teachers and frequently evaluated throughout the entire process. They will have daily observations, class participation, journaling, peer evaluation reports, and assigned homework to ensure they are staying up to date on their project. Students will be evaluated on their effort, efficiency, and effectiveness. They will be scored based off of their work ability, effective use of time, if they were on task, if its quality work, and if it meets or exceeds standards. Grades will be entered on a point system for a total of 400 points. The student’s final product must meet the requirements shown on the rubric attached. Students must be able to speak about their projects to the class and present the information in a clear and concise manner with an additional visual aid. Students should articulate a broad understanding of the topic being discussed.
